Thank you for "attending" our 2023 Hoedown for Humanity fundraiser.
We encourage you to make donations, buy raffle tickets, and view auction prizes right now. However, the silent auction bidding does not go live until 6:00am on August 21. The auction ends and the raffle prize winning ticket is selected at 8:00pm on August 26.
Once again, Habitat for Humanity Calaveras is hosting our virtual Hoedown for Humanity silent auction and raffle, our biggest fundraising event of the year. Revenue from this event will play a vital role in helping us meet our aggressive financial goals for the current fiscal year.
This is an exciting time for Habitat. Soon we will begin the infrastructure work on our 17-acre Eureka Oaks development in Angels Camp. Our goal is to build workforce housing for over 100 Calaveras households over the next 4 years. With the comfort of our future homeowners in mind, we are partnering with building innovator ZS2 whose pre-manufactured building materials are energy efficient, fire resistant, termite-proof, and mold-proof.
Meanwhile, our Home Repair Program continues to be a great success. Since January 2022, we will have repaired 45 Calaveras homes representing more than $250,000 in construction costs.
We have received strong support from the City of Angels Camp, Calaveras County, and the State of California. But when it comes to meeting our financial needs, we are heavily dependent on the generosity of local businesses and residents, particularly during our annual Hoedown fundraiser.
We appreciate your support.
